The web hosting market is chock-full of companies looking to host your website for you. The thing is, these companies are willing to do just about anything to get you into their doors – even if it means eventually leading to the downfall of their company. The reason they do this is because the market is simply overflowing with web hosts, and that makes it near impossible to get clients. To combat this they offer absurdly low prices and other gimmicky add-ons to try and make it appear like you’re getting more bang for you buck. Now, why would they do this?

Ethernet Wire

For one, the web hosting niche is one that is often short-lived for web host “companies.” To try and pierce the diamond-coated market that is saturated to maximum capacity, many new start-ups turn to offering outrageously low prices. This factor, coupled with a low number of clients, generally leads to their demise. Another painful reality is that when these super cheap web hosting solutions state they offer unlimited bandwidth and data storage, they are banking on the fact that you will actually not use very much space at all. Generally, the low-end hosting market (I’m talking under $5 per month) is a pretty iffy investment. Your money could be well spent, or you could simply be getting charged for headaches later on down the road during your (likely short-lived) subscription.

Overall, the cheapest of the cheap hosting plans and companies are the epitome of “you get what you pay for.” You’re not going to be happy with the service, and the constant instabilities are going to have you wishing you’d gone with a more viable solution, than some ring-ding start-up looking for a quick buck, hoping you didn’t do your research.

<font sizeJared (That's me) is the guy behind Hosting Hint. I decided to start this website after getting fed up with the automated junk that you see whenever you look for help regarding web hosting. I knew I wanted to keep things simple, so from the beginning that's how I wanted this blog to operate.
